How Prepared are YOU?

Our hearts go out to all the folks around the country who are suffering through the rages of Mother Nature this past week; wildfires all over the West, a freak land hurricane in the East resulting in loss of precious life and irreplaceable property. Some of these events are impossible to plan for. But it doesn't hurt to have a plan in place in the event you have a few minutes to leave your home in a hurry to make it to safer ground.
Many books have been written and the internet is full of articles and videos sharing information on how best to prepare yourself and your family. One of the easiest things you can do is prepare a "grab and go' bag for each member of your family. Use a duffel bag, gym bag or backpack to store items that you would need in an emergency, such as a change of clothes, flashlight or food. Each person's bag will be slightly different depending on age or special needs.
