Prepare for Home Ownership
Barbara Gallo 11 years ago

Owning a home is still part of the "American Dream" because it helps us identify with a particular community, build strong ties and gives us a sense of pride. Yet getting to the closing table and receiving the keys to YOUR home can be a daunting process. What does the road to home ownership entail and what are specific steps you can take to prepare?

1. Talk to a loan officer to go over your income and expenses in order to determine how much house you can afford and ask them to "pre-qualify" you...

Barbara Gallo 11 years ago

Many folks have been receiving alarming emails which have gone viral regarding a 3.8% tax on real estate sales beginning in January, 2013. Fortunately, this is only a rumor. True, there is a new 3.8% tax created under the new healthcare legislation, a.k.a. Obamacare. However, it applies to a small group of taxpayers, not to the purchase of a home. So from all of us here at EXIT Realty Front and Center, we wish all you Moms a very HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Barbara Gallo 12 years ago

But what if you want to BUY a home?
Do you call the listing agent?
Do you call the agency and work with the agent who happens to be on "floor duty"
that day?
Do you even have a choice?

Of course you do.

A buyer's agent represents the buyer only, ensures you ha...
